Inverness airport is the central airport for the Scottish Highlands and the closest airport to Aviemore. Aviemore is a 45 minute drive from Inverness airport, and it can be reached by car or public transport. Inverness airport can be reached by flight from London Heathrow or Gatwick in 1 hour 30 minutes.
You can also fly to Aberdeen Airport (2 hour drive to Aviemore), Edinburgh Airport (2 hour 30 minute drive to Aviemore) and Glasgow Airport (2 hour 50 minute drive to Aviemore).

By Car
Aviemore is easily accessible by the A9, the main road from central Scotland and Glasgow, Edinburgh, Perth and Dundee in the south, and Inverness in the north.
By train
The Caledonian Sleeper train departs London Euston and takes approximately 10 hours to reach Aviemore. There are regular trains from Glasgow and Edinburgh to Aviemore (a journey time of approximately 3 hours).
By bus
Both CityLink and Stagecoach operate regular buses to and from Aviemore.
